Welcome to Kim’s Wiki …better known as “Kim”, I began teaching in 1994 as a 4th grade teacher in Guilford County Schools, Greensboro, NC. In 1999, I joined Prince George’s County Public Schools as a 5th Grade Teacher at Magnolia Elementary School. After completing one year at Magnolia, I opted for a career change. I became a Career Services Advisor and Director for a local technology trade school. Need your resume updated? I’m your lady! I returned to Prince George’s County Public Schools in 2001 as a 3rd grade teacher at Oaklands Elementary School. I’ve always had an interest in using technology in my classroom and have served in various capacities as a school based technology contact. Seeing the need to excite my students in different, fun ways, I decided to return to graduate school to earn my MS in Education-Technology for Educators. Here I am now as a Technology Trainer working with the district’s training office. As a member of the Sharing Technology with Educators Program, my goals are to:
Introduce new technology to teachers and administrators
Model best practices for technology integration in the classroom
Dialogue with teachers for additional ideas to improve my own professional development
